MetaCom, a program that offers a common set of analysis and organizational tools that can be used by research groups in the analysis of environmental samples. MetaCom is an open-source software tool that can process next generation sequencing output, identify the species present in the sample, organize the results of the analysis in an easy to manipulate format, and can calculate useful metrics of data quality.
