Welcome to the MicroBrain Lab!

MicroBrain Laboratory at Utah State University in Logan, Utah is led by Dr. Yu Huang. Currently, the group is actively involved in the research of microtissue engineering of neurons, tumors, and stem cells.

Recent News

January 23, 2019: Our collaborative publication "Develop a 3D neurological disease model of human cortical glutamatergic neurons using micropillar-based scaffolds" is accepted by the journal Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B (APSB, impact factor 6.014). Cheng is the first author. Congratulations to Cheng for publishing this nice story!

January 3, 2019: Congratulations to Bailey for receiving the Engineering Undergraduate Research Program (EURP), which will fund his research in Microbrain Lab in three semesters (Spring 2019 - Spring 2020). He will be working on the electrospun biomaterials for neural tissue engineering.

December 13, 2018: Congratulations to Jeff for successfully graduating and receiving a Master degree! Hope all the best for his future endeavors.

September 6, 2018: Our publication "3D Tissue Engineering, an Emerging Technique for Pharmaceutical Research" is published in the journal Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B (APSB, impact factor 6.014). It is also chosen as the cover story for that issue. Congratulations to Greg and Chris for this nice story.

January 4, 2018: Congratulations to both Greg and Angie for receiving the Engineering Undergraduate Research Program (EURP), which will fund their research in Microbrain Lab for three semesters (Spring 2018 - Spring 2019). Greg will be working on the nanoparticles and their use in tissue engineering. Angie will be working on the biocompatibility and 3D printing material and the microfluidic-based organoid engineering.
