Biological Engineering Scholarship Information

Open to Students of  the College of Engineering:

  • Richard W. and Moonyeen R. Anderson Scholarships in Engineering
    • Awarded annually and renewable for up to four years. Scholars must be citizens of the United States and graduates of Box Elder County or Cache County high schools within the State of Utah.
  • Roy Bullen Memorial Fund for Engineering Students
    • Approximately $1,000 to be available annually to aid undergraduate engineering students. Established by the late Mrs. Bullen in honor of her husband after whom the fund is named.
  • Jerry Christiansen Memorial Engineering Scholarship
    • Established by Prof. and Mrs. Jerald E. Christiansen in memory of his father, this fund is for students enrolled in the College of Engineering.
  • Blaine P. and Louise Christiansen Clyde Engineering Scholarship Fund
    • The Clydes, alumni of USU, have established these scholarships for students enrolled in the College of Engineering who have financial need.
  • W.W. Clyde and Company Engineering Scholarship Fund
    • Scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering.
  • G. Walter Dansie Scholarship for Engineering Excellence
    • Awarded to students demonstrating academic achievement and financial need. Recipients must be U.S. citizens.
  • David B. Hofer Scholarship
    • Awarded to a junior or senior with demonstrated financial need.
  • Intermountain Power Agency Scholarship
    • Awarded to junior and senior students enrolled in the College of Engineering. Amounts vary annually.
  • Professor Harold R. Kepner Memorial Scholarship in Engineering
    • Awarded to a freshman or sophomore engineering student of a minority group with a financial need and a demonstrated scholastic ability.
  • David C. Miller and Robert M. Matich Scholarship
    • Awarded to residents of California or Utah who have academic merit and financial need.
  • Henry J. and Rebecca Henderson Nelson Memorial Scholarship in Engineering
    • Established by Prof. and Mrs. Jerald E. Christiansen in memory of her parents, this endowment is for students enrolled in the College of Engineering.
  • Parker Hannifin Scholarship
    • One scholarship given annually to a junior or senior engineering student.
  • Jack B. and Bonnie F. Parson Scholarships in Engineering
    • Grants awarded to students of at least sophomore status, who show superior scholarship ability, a commitment to high social and moral values, and financial need.
  • Harold and Else Peterson Scholarships
    • Awarded annually on the basis of academic performance and financial need.
  • Ace and Arville Raymond Scholarship in Engineering
    • Awarded annually to an outstanding and worthy undergraduate enrolled in the College of Engineering.
  • Harold W. and Helen Ritchey Engineering Scholarship
    • Awarded to junior and senior students in engineering.  Amounts vary.
  • Parker Hannifin Scholarship
    • One scholarship given annually to a junior or senior engineering student.
  • Jack B. and Bonnie F. Parson Scholarships in Engineering
    • Grants awarded to students of at least sophomore status, who show superior scholarship ability, a commitment to high social and moral values, and financial need.
  • Harold and Else Peterson Scholarships
    • Awarded annually on the basis of academic performance and financial need.
  • Questar Corporation Scholarship
    • Awarded to an engineering student with financial need.
  • Ace and Arville Raymond Scholarship in Engineering
    • Awarded annually to an outstanding and worthy undergraduate enrolled in the College of Engineering.
  • Harold W. and Helen Ritchey Engineering Scholarship
    • Awarded to junior and senior students in engineering.  Amounts vary.
  • Ivan M. and Ruth C. Teuscher Memorial Scholarship
    • Tuition scholarships for students enrolled in the College of Engineering.
  • Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Scholarship
    • For students enrolled in the College of Engineering. Amount varies annually.
  • David G. Sant Engineering Scholarships
    • Scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering. Past recipients are encouraged to help the fund grow.
  • David G. Sant Franklin County Scholarship for Preston or West Side High School Students
    • One or two freshman students awarded a $2,500 scholarship to study engineering at Utah State University.
  • David G. Sant Undergraduate Research Scholarship
    • Awarded to an undergraduate student on the basis of his or her research proposal, scholastic achievement, and potential for contribution to one of the engineering fields.

Open to Women in Engineering only:

  • Don M. Corbett Scholarships  
    • Awarded to entering freshman women students in engineering by Mr. and Mrs. Corbett to encourage women in this field. About 25 scholarships are awarded annually.
  • Sarah Ann Farley Memorial Scholarship
    • For women in engineering who have completed their freshman engineering coursework.
  • E. Joe and Charlotte Middlebrooks Scholarship
    • An annual scholarship for a woman or minority engineering student.
  • Peggy R. Roskelley Memorial Scholarship for Women
    • For a female engineering student with financial need. Awarded to juniors and seniors.
  • Semnani Foundation Scholarship
    • Given to two women enrolled in the College of Engineering, with preference given to single mothers.
  • Society of Women Engineers Scholarships
    • SWE Scholarships are only open to women pursuing baccalaureate or graduate degrees in engineering or computer science, as well as engineering and computer science students or having graduated from ABET accredited engineering programs.
